Kanonkop Wines ... The Current Collection

Kanonkop is located in the foothills of the Simonsberg ward in the Stellenbosch region, almost smack in the middle of the Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek triangle. The first bottling was in 1973, and since then, Kanonkop has produced Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage, together with Cabernet Sauvignon dominant and Pinotage dominant blends.

Beyers Truter made Kanonkop wines beginning in 1980 and was joined by Abrie Beeslaar in 2002 who took over the reins when Mr. Truter left to establish his own venture, Beyerskloof.
