"91 pts ... The 2008 Malbec received the same elevage as the Cabernet. Purple-colored, the nose offers up toasty oak, cinnamon, allspice, and black cherry. Medium- to full-bodied, it has excellent depth and grip, savory flavors, and enough fine-grained tannin to evolve for 2-3 years. It can be enjoyed from 2011 to 2017." --12/08 Wine Spectator
"91 pts ...creamy and pure, with gorgeous spice and black tea aromas leading the way for lush, velvety raspberry, cassis and boysenberry fruit. It all sails through the full-bodied, supple finish. Drink now through 2011. " Winemaker's Notes
" Beautiful deep violet color with exploding aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and violets framed by hints of oak and mint. The wonderful aromas are mirrored on the palate, and they are joined by ripe plum fruit and a hint of toasty vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, and a hint of mint on the finish. This is a ripe and rich style of wine, reigning in the fruit and focusing it into a long finish. A wine that truly struggles between its fun and serious side. Pairs well with a wide range of foods from beef and pork to game birds or even meat-based pastas. This is what Malbec is all about." Technical Notes
"100% Malbec. Aged 13 months in 80% new French and 20% second use American barriques. 14% alc." |

"90 pts ...The 2009 Torrontes remains one of Argentina’s benchmarks for this variety. Sourced from 31-year-old vines in Cafayate (where the finest Torrontes grows), it displays a fragrant bouquet of spring flowers, honey, and tropical aromas. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate, it has ample fruit backed by vibrant acidity leading to a lengthy finish. Drink it over the next 2 years. "--08/09 Winemaker's Notes
"Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, white pear, flowers, and orange citrus fruit. On the palate, it has beautiful structure and acidity similar to Sauvignon Blanc along with enticing fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors. Fruity, floral and yet still quite dry, this wine has to be tasted to be believed. Best enjoyed in its youth either by itself, or as a wonderful partner with smoked meats, mild to medium-strong cheeses, and seafood (especially crab!). Keep one in the fridge at all times!" Technical Notes
"Torrontes was originally thought to be a variety that was brought over long ago from Northern Spain. But recent DNA testing has revealed that these vines are most likely the result of a hybrid created long ago from two grapes: Muscat of Alexandria & Criolla Chica (or what is called the Mission grape in California). While Torrontes is the most widely planted white wine grape throughout Argentina, the finest quality Torrontes comes from Cafayate, located in the Calchaquí Valley in the northern province of Salta. The combination of high elevation (4800-5600 feet), very dry weather, intense solar radiation, cool nights, and sandy soils brings out its best characteristics. Best consumed in its youth. Hand-harvested; no oak; Acid 6.56; p.H. 3.35" 13.5% alc. |

"89 pts ...The 2009 Rose of Malbec is dark pink in color with an enticing nose of strawberry and cherry. Ripe, dry, and full-flavored, this delicious Rose should be consumed over the next 12-18 months." --12/00 Winemaker's Notes
"A beautiful, deep, vibrant rose color. Has a surprising amount of glycerin and body for a rosé wine, and beautiful aromas of fresh, ripe wild strawberries. On the palate, the flavors of strawberries and cherries come rushing in, accompanied by some spice notes and a clean, dry finish. This is the wine to serve with warm- weather meals when there is a mix of traditional white & red wine foods. Keep one in the fridge at all times and you'll always have a delicious wine to enjoy with light snacks and cheeses. Best consumed in its youth. Pairs well with warm-weather meals when there is a mix of traditional white & red foods." 13.9% alc. |

"50% Syrah/50% Bonarda. Dark reddish/purple color. Intense aroma of black raspberries and a touch of vanilla. Experience a rush of flavors upon first sip of this medium-bodied wine - ripe blackberry and red plum, young forest floor, hints of smoke and spice. This depth of flavor and intensity on the palate is almost unheard of for wines at this price. It’s a winner both before and during a meal. Certainly enjoyable in its youth, but will age beautifully. A fun wine to try with a wide range of red wine-friendly foods and one that will delight even the most pretentious connoisseur." Technical Notes
"From vineyards located at 3,000 feet, 42 year old vines. Hand-harvested. Unfined, unfiltered. Acid 5.01 g/L. 13.5% alc." |

"90 pts ... The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon spent 9 months in one-year-old French and American oak and was bottled without fining or filtration. Purple-colored, it reveals an expressive perfume of cedar, spice box, black currant and black raspberry. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with lots of savory black fruit, enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, excellent balance, and a long, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years." --10/08 Winemaker's Notes
"Intense, dark ruby color with enticing aromas of ripe, black plums and black currants. The richly textured plum and currant flavors are joined by accents of dark chocolate and some vanilla-scented oak. The ripe, vibrant tannins give the wine beautiful structure and an amazingly long finish. This is a big wine for just a little money. Drink it now or over the next few years to enjoy the fruit flavors at their best. It will pair well with traditional Cabernet-friendly foods like grilled or roasted meats." Technical Notes
"From vineyards at 3,350 feet elevation, 26 year old vines. Hand-harvested. 9 months in 50% 1-year French and 50% 1-year American barriques. Unfined, unfiltered. Acid 5.23 g/L." 14% alc. |
