VIU MANENT Colchagua Valley, Chile The Viu Manent family has been in the wine business for 3 generations, ever since its 1st Santiago-based winery was established in 1935 (where they bottled for third parties). The Viu brand name began in 1966 when they bought the beautiful San Carlos hacienda in the Colchagua Valley, where they have old (circa 1860) Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, and an adobe house dating to 1900. The technological renovation that took place between 1985 and 1990 has allowed the production of high-quality wines for export. |
