2015 Badenhorst Family "Secateurs" Rose
Swartland, South Africa

Such a pretty color and so tasty! Won't cut off your tastebuds with bone dry acidity; will instead make them tingle with crisp, slightly spicy, bright, dry to off dry red fruit flavors.

Winemaker's Notes
"Aromas of complex red fruits, spice, rose water, and currants. Generous mouth-feel and textured bodywith a long, crisp, dry finish."

Technical Notes
"57% Cinsault, 27% Shiraz, 16% Grenache. The grapes for this wine are estate grown at ourKalmoesfontein farm in granite soils. The vines ofthe Grenache were planted in 1951 and the Cinsaultin 1963, which are some of the oldest vines foundin this region and country. The Cinsault and Grenache grapes were picked early in the morning and the whole bunches were gently pressed so as not to extract toomuch color. The Shiraz juice had 4 hours of skin contact before it was pressed, then the juice was blended and naturally fermented in tank. Only 15% was fermentedin old French oak casks. The wine was clarified naturally with minimal filtration, then bottled. Only 300 cases of this wine and ready to drink now. 13.5% alc."

A very happy glass of wine! Refreshing and dry, bits of lemon and crisp minerality zip around throughout the pleasant finish. Then you will smile and repeat. Terrific with fish tacos, green salad with cannellini beans, and onion soup.

2015 Mulderbosch Rose
Promising delicate aromas of warm red fruit and stone follow through on the palate together with some earthiness. Really nice long dry finish too. Fabulous dinner warm up with hummus or your favorite shrimp hors d'oeuvre concoction and paired nicely with our poached salmon too. Way too easy to sip, but at 12.5%, go for it!
