Winemaker's Notes
"Fine and focused layers of dark red fruit, cherries, and forest flowers with a volumptuous texture and gentle tannins."
Wine Advocate
"93+ pts ... Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2011 Pinot Noir has an enticing nose of blackberries, red currants and black raspberries with touches of orange zest, cinnamon stick and black earth, plus a whiff of dried mint. Medium-bodied with great balance on the palate even at this youthful stage, it delivers stacks of fruit layers and a medium to firm backbone of grainy tannins that is fused with refreshing acidity right through to a long finish. Drink it now to 2020+."

2014 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir
$59.99
99 BC A true classic. Always wonderful, and always bigger than its Central Otago cousins, the Ata Rangi Pinot Noir shows full-bodied dark red fruits and pairs well with duck sausages off the grill, lamb of course, and even some heartier fish such as sturgeon, salmon or halibut.

2015 Felton Road Cornish Point Pinot Noir
$64.99
New Vintage! '14 95 WS; 96 Decanter; 94 JS The single vineyard Cornish and Calvert Pinots seem to have a greater intensity of fruit, darker and more serious than the Bannockburn, and every bit as delicious and age-worthy. Tannins are present as well, though not quite as rough or dusty as the Bannockburn. We are a somewhat hard-pressed to pinpoint any huge differences between the Cornish and Calvert Pinots, although the Cornish fruit seems juicier and a bit spicier, while the Calvert fruit is even darker.

2013 Giant Steps "Sexton" Pinot Noir
$44.99
95 JH; 92 ST From the Yarra Valley, one of Australia's premier Pinot Noir growing regions (you too, Tasmania, and you too, Brokenwood Pinot Noir). Ta da - Giant Steps! The perfect drop to enjoy with the Coltrane performance of the same name, we get something fragrant on the nose - wood or spices - and taste purple fruits. The wine has what we think of as the Yarra Valley leanness, perhaps more properly minerality. Very tasty, very food friendly.
