2013 Mahi Boundary Farm Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand

If you find some Sauvignon Blancs have overly hard, acidic edges, this wine will be your antidote. Some time in barrel rounds out those edges and you are left with a glass full of gooseberry, slightly tart tropical fruit flavors, and very pleasant memories as the finish slowly slips away.

Winemaker's Notes
"This wine displays a combination of tropical and herbal notes on the nose. On the palate the influence of the wild yeast and oak component combine to give lifted grapefruit characters and some barrel creaminess. A rich and full style of Sauvignon Blanc."

Technical Notes
"The 2013 vintage for us was relatively short affair in comparison to the previous five vintages at Mahi. The warm, dry and clear summer we experienced continued over harvest however interestingly temperatures were not higher than average. Because of the clear skies the diurnal differentiation (difference between night and day temperatures) was greater than normal serving to retain both flavour and acidity in the grapes and the clear days meant there was very little Botrytis pressure so the fruit that came into the winery was very clean. "92+ pts ... A rare example of a true single vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon, the 2013 Boundary Farm Sauvignon Blanc is relatively restrained with notes of peach kernels, ripe apples and pink guava plus touches of cedar and baking bread. Medium-bodied, this beauty really delivery the goods on the palate with tons of stone fruit and apple-laced flavors plus very subtle oak influence and lovely texture. It finishes with great length."

2014 Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc
We are quite possibly influenced by a wonderful winery visit, but nonetheless, this Sauvignon Blanc is a favorite every year as the penetrating flavors seem to dance happily in the mouth. There is something for everyone: light passionfruit, stone fruit, gooseberry, bracing acidity, and a long finish.

Always lush and full with loads of spirit, this vintage also has wonderful contributions from a partial barrel ferment and time on the lees. Hints of lemon and passionfruit tickle the tongue.
