Winemaker's Notes
"Ripe plum and brambleberry aromas fuse with a touch of mint chocolate to compliment the full-bodied smooth tannins. This 'Cape Blend' brings the best of Pinotage to the classic French varietals."

Technical Notes
"40% Pinotage/30% Cabernet Sauvignon/30%. Each component of this Cape blend offers itís own qualities. This vintage shows an explosion of fruit on the nose which is largely attributable to the Cabernet sauvignon and Pinotage components. The Syrah is soft and sweet. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the backbone of the blend. Spicy stewed fruit and spicy ripe tannins with an innate softness and long lingering aftertaste. This blend brings the best of Pinotage to the classic French varieties and will age well for the next 15 years."
Wine Advocate
"90 pts ... the 2012 three Cape ladies is a blend of 40% Pinotage, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% points Syrah that spends 18 months in french oak, 15% new. It has a ripe raspberry and mulberry-scented bouquet with touches of allspice and sous bois that unfold with time. the palate is medium-bodied with quite succulent, fleshy tannins that belie the structure underneath. there is a gentle but insistent grip on the finish with good length. this is one of Warwick estate’s more approachable current releases."
