"Inky bright crimson with a dark centre and a youthful edge. Nose of vibrant fruits of the forest and hints of cassis and spice. Supple, elegant mouth feel. Dark fruits such as blackberry and blueberry with lighter red fruits such as red currant. Some spicy notes and oak mingle on the palate. A wine to enjoy in its youth or over the next 5-8 years."
"The fruit for the Stonehorse bottling comes off of Kaesler's estate block of 15-45 year old vines. 100% Barossa Valley Shiraz. Following MLF fermentation, the wine was racked of its lees and then returned to barrel, where it stayed for 15 months. The average age of the barrels was about 3 years old. This has given a hint of oak but still allowing the fruit to dominate. The wine was bottled with light filtration. 14% alc."

Good colour, although not especially deep, the gently spicy bouquet leading into a medium-bodied, foresty/savoury/spicy palate framed by balanced tannins. Drink to 2022."
