"91+ pts ... Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon gives a nose of ripe black currant, mocha, baking spices and tree bark with touches of black pepper and bay leaf. The full bodied palate is youthfully taut and muscular with a solid structure of firm, fine grained tannins and high acid, finishing long with lingering notes of mace, cedar and peppercorns. Approachable now, it should open and improve considerably with another year or two in bottle, drinking best 2013 to 2022+." --08/11

"Deep red in colour with a crimson hue. Rich, concentrated blackcurrant, violets, bay leaf and dried twigs with hints of mocha, menthol and graphite that are perfectly framed by the subtle spicy, vanillin French oak. Enters the mouth rich and seductive, with a mixture of blackcurrant, bay leaf and chocolate dust then bursts to life with an explosion of tangy, bright acidity. It finishes fragrant, long and full of superb, fine, structured, dry tannins. 14.5% alc."
