"92 pts ... Craggy’s Chardonnay is undeniably world-class, and wouldn’t be out of place in a blind tasting with premier cru Burgundies. Toasty French oak frames elegantly restrained fruit on the nose and then vanilla, peach and tropical fruit flavors unfold on the palate, finishing long, tinged with orange sherbet and dried spices."
Winemaker's Notes
"Straw in colour flecked with green. Aromas of peach, cream and hazelnut abound in a heady combination underpinned by zesty lemon notes. The palate is full bodied yet framed by bright acids that provide firmness, giving an elegance to the structure. Harmonious in all respects, perfectly balanced. Drink between 4-6 years from vintage."
Technical Notes
"100% hand-harvested, whole bunch pressed. Spontaneous, indigenous fermentation. Aged 14 months in French oak, 54% new. Fined and filtered. Acid 6.11 g/L; pH 3.26. 14.5% alc."
