"91 pts ... Grown from their vineyards at Lowburn and Parkburn, at first, Chard Farm's 2006 comes across rather one-dimensional on the nose with wild strawberry and a touch of leather evolving with time. Give it time to aerate because the nose really blossoms. The palate is better, well-balanced, good firm tannic structure, quite dry with natural, red-berried, wild hedgerow fruits. That nose is unfurling nicely but slowly with a lovely, soft, mocha-tinged finish. Decanting is recommended for this Pinot Noir. Excellent, but patience is required. Drink 2008-2013." --1/08

"89 pts ... The cherry aromas of this wine are so sweet, so obvious, that they come across as almost candied; thankfully, they’re balanced by subtle spice and leather shadings that make it clear that this is wine, not fruit juice. Silky tannins bolster that impression, nicely buffering and extending the finish." --3/09
