"91 pts ... Deep, glass-staining red. Wild, musky red fruit aromas are complicated by cured meat, tobacco and lavender. Broad on the palate, displaying deep blackberry and kirsch flavors, velvety texture and slow-building tannins. Nervy acidity adds surprising focus to the long, sweet finish." --07/08

"91 pts ... The 2006 Grenache, also scheduled for bottling in September 2007, was sourced from 45 and 80-year-old dry-grown bush vines with minuscule yields of 1.5 tones per acre. It spent 17 months in French oak, 15% new. It is dark ruby-colored with fragrant aromas of red fruits, kirsch, and a slight roasted character. Supple-textured, sweet, and hedonistic, this seamless wine can be enjoyed over the next 10-12 years."
