"90 pts ... Aged for 20 months in new French barriques Bright full red. Reduced nose is less expressive today than that of the cabernet, hinting at dark berries, black cherry and bitter chocolate. Broad, sweet and lush on the palate; densely packed but not yet expressive. There's already lovely perfume here but this rather powerful malbec needs time to harmonize its components. Sexy oak and chocolate, along with a saline chewy quality, currently co-exist on the ripely tannic finish." Winemaker's Notes
"This highly colored, velvet purple wine is a classic expression of Malbec, showing plum, currant and wild cherry aromas wrapped in nuances of chocolate and background notes of oak. On the palate, red berry and dark stone fruit impressions dominate, set in a texture of silky, supple tannins and sweet, luscious fruit lifted by a fine, measured acidity. The finish is long and succulent, ending on a ripe, plush note that invites another glass.
