2012 Brokenwood Beechworth Pinot Noir
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia

Opaque blue purple color and light on the palate but really flavorful. Dark cherry and hints of spice with good acidity make this a wonderful food wine. Try it with roasted chicken, sturdier fish, and mushroom dishes.

Winemaker's Notes
"Good depth of color and youthful purple tints are evident. Complex aromas of lifted, sweet red cherry over earthy, savory characters with a touch of oak are echoed on the palate. Balance is aided by ripe tannins over a lingering finish. Enjoyable as a zippy, young wine, it will mature well for 4 to 8 years."
Wine Spectator
"91 pts ... Tangy, with juicy black cherry and black tea flavors mingling around a lively core and dancing to an expressive, creamy finish. Shows depth and youth. Best from 2014 through 2018."

Stephen Tanzer
"90 pts ... Dark red. Fresh red fruit and floral aromas are complemented by notes of gingerbread and smoky minerals. Juicy and taut in the mouth, offering zesty redcurrant and dried cherry flavors and a touch of allspice. Closes with very good length, silky tannins and lingering florality."

2015 Seville Estate "The Barber" Pinot Noir
Wonderful aromas and flavors of red fruits and spice growing deeper through the finish along a backbone of fine tannins. This is no tutti-frutti starter Pinot. Be glad and drink up with your favorite lamb, duck, mushroom, and lentil dishes especially those with eastern spices or herbs a plenty.

2014 Holm Oak Pinot Noir
Delicate red fruits and spice on the nose are followed in full on the palate, especially cranberry and cherry. Tannins are fine and the wine was delicious with our grilled chicken and bean salad.
More due in June.

2013 Mt. Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir
This vintage is all about balance. Dried red cherry and some spice with a nice acid balance make the wine very food friendly. Would you believe pork souvlaki? We wouldn't either if we hadn't tried it ourselves.
