2013 Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay
Kumeu, New Zealand

As with the other Kumeu Chardonnays, the Hunting Hill is made to age and should be best 5 - 7 years from vintage. This wine shows ripe and rich citrus flavors with wonderful balance, body and acidity, likely assisted by the partial stainless steel ferment.

Winemaker's Notes
"This wine has fragrant lemon/lime blossom aromas on the nose that typify the lovely perfume we always get from Hunting Hill.. The 2013 vintage was affected by a spring frost and the subsequent yields approximately 1/2 of the usual. The summer was one of the best on record and the grapes were beautifully clean, ripe and intensely flavoured. This has created a wine of intense concentration and complexity that will be very long lived."

2010 Vina Tabali Talinay Chardonnay
91 WA A most beautiful Chardonnay with gobs of white stonefruits, pear, and Meyer lemon flowers on the nose and cascading over the very long palate. We enjoyed it immensely with a spicy butternut squash soup festooned with brown butter sauteed prawns, cucumbers, and non-fat Greek yogurt. A really delightful quaff!
