2007 Kilikanoon Testament Shiraz
Barossa Valley, South Australia

Drinking really well now with still lively dark fruits and some black pepper. The flavors are satisfyingly persistent and compatible with burgers and mushrooms, also oddly enough, fish tacos - maybe it was the guacamole - also lamb chops and a veggie lasagna.

"92 pts ... Despite some slightly raisiny notes, this wine also displays some exotic floral aromas, thenbold flavors of stone fruit and chocolate. It's full bodied without seeming heavy at all, ending long, with savory plum and mocha shadings."

Stephen Tanzer
"91+ pts ... Opaque ruby. Smoky, penetrating aromas of raspberry, cherry, licorice and blackpepper. Spicy and tightly wound on entry, then gains flesh and sweetness in the mid-palate,offering juicy red fruit flavors and a late note of black cardamom. Finishes with very good grip and a lingering note of smoky minerals. This improved with air, which suggests that it will repaypatience."
