2012 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc "Section 94"
Marlborough, New Zealand

When you smell this wine, you will think you are wandering in a citrus grove in bloom, and the flavors are equally lovely. Quite full-bodied, with lots of mineral and citrus flavors all rounded and enriched by the extended time on lees and in barrel.

Winemaker's Notes
"On the nose, fruit aromas, ripe citrus, white peach, lemongrass, combed honey. On the palate, white blossom, underlying yeast influence. Savoury herbs, chalky minerality, racy acid, lingering long finish. Pairs well with fish, poultry, vegetable dishes, and aromatic white cheeses especially."

Technical Notes
"Aged 18 months in older French oak barrels. Cellar 3-5 years. 13.5% alc."
Wine Advocate
"92 pts ...The 2012 Section 94 captures the nose with pretty peach and apple blossom notes allied to suggestions of cedar, grapefruit peel and dried herbs. With great intensity on the medium-bodied, satin-textured palate, the lively acid holds through a long, mineral finish." -- 12/14
