Winemaker's Notes
"This ruby-red wine expresses a nose of plum, coffee and chocolate. It is a lush, sexy wine that fills your mouth with fruit and fine tannins. It has the length to live in your cellar but it is ready to go with a quick decant. This wine is destined for a table with big steaks, venison, and rich sauces."

Technical Notes
"85% Malbec and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from 60 year old vines grown at 6600', aged 12 months in 60% new, 40% second use French oak barrels. 15.7% alc."
Stephen Tanzer
"91 pts ... Exotic blackberry, molten chocolate, coffee and a wild whiff of game on the nose; just short of raisiny. Silky-sweet, round and fat, with an utterly seamless texture in light of the wine's very high alcohol. Just enough acidity here to give shape to the rich blackberry and chocolate flavors. Finishes with sweet, even tannins and palate-saturating length."

Wine Advocate
"90 pts ... Asian spices, incense, licorice, lavender, and black cherry are just some of the elements composing the wine's aromatic array. In the glass it is dense, rich, full-bodied, and powerful yet surprisingly light on its feet. It conceals enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years but can be approached now. It is an ideal match for one of Argentina's unequaled free-range rib-eye steaks grilled over a wood fire."

Wine Enthusiast
"91 pts ... This heavy, baked Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon blend carries all the fingerprints of winemaker Michel Rolland, a partner from the start in this high-end Salta project. Aromas of raisin and leather are rustic and rich. Flavors of mocha, molasses, cassis and chocolate finish with a syrupy feel."
