NV Graham Beck Brut Rose
Western Cape, South Africa

Somehow even more festive than Graham Beck's Brut, perhaps it is the lovely orangey-pink color, this small bubbled bubbly - say that really fast ten times - is crisp, dry, and very refreshing. It has delicate red fruit flavors and a wonderful yeasty component.

Winemaker's Notes
"Pale silver-pink. Aromas of raspberries, cherries and a few secondary whiffs of minerality. A lively mousse but fine in the mouth, with subtle red berry flavours enlivened by bright acids. Brisk on the palate, showing hints of oyster shell and fresh lavender. "
Technical Notes
"55% Chardonnay/45% Pinot Noir. Whole bunch pressing with fractional recovery from the whole bunches ensured that only the quality juice went into fermentation. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fermented separately. After fermentation the portions are blended and then lightly fined and bottled for the secondary fermentation. This wine was given sufficient time on lees to develop subtle yeasty characters and to burst with berry and cherry flavour. 12% alc."
