Taste New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, Martinborough

For those who think all New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc tastes the same, this is a fun introduction to some of the most yummy variations. Seresin, with its blending of a small amount of Semillon and partial barrel ferment provides unusual richness. Astrolabe proclaims bracing acidity and minerality as few others. Craggy Range shows it's Martinborough origins with less citrus, great depth, terrific length, and a perfectly dry finish. Impossible to select a favorite, but keep trying!

Each three-pack includes one each of the following:

"Pale straw with green highlights. On the nose, lemon grass, lime peel and elderflower, with background notes of white currant andred pepper. Medium-bodied with currant, gooseberry and citrus flavours, and a dry mineral finish."

"Blended from several parcels of Sauvignon Blanc from across our three different vineyard sites, as well as a small volume of Semillon, this is a true reflection of Seresin Estate in a bottle. Subtle on the nose with warm notes of ripe yellow stone-fruit, soft passion fruit and a chalky-mineral complexity. The palate is layered and finely-textured, with ripe gooseberry, tropical and citrus notes, framed by a mouth-watering acidity, which creates a persistent finish."

"Stone fruit and citrus characters dominate in this release, with lovely tropical nuances of guava and papaya also vying for attention. A hint of fennel bulb and a twist of mint join the party, while the flinty minerality steers the fine, dry finish to a long and satisfying conclusion. Hand-picked, hand-sorted fruit and time on lees are all integral to achieving this more textural and restrained style of Sauvignon Blanc."
